In addition to our comprehensive configuration report, for a site or factory acceptance test, an audit or during troubleshooting with the help of our unique software tool*, we can generate two other  Microsoft Excel® documents

These complementary reports use the standard files produced by the Hirschmann ™ CollectTool software and  within industrial Hivision® software.

[box type=”tick”]These reports allow you to complete your internal documentation with inventory items such as serial number, firmware version, status of dip switches, power supply status, mac address, …

Moreover, one of the report is a real time saver in getting the actual status of each port and especially in the search for errors between your end devices and switches.

[toggle title=”Report based on SystemInfo”]

This report, in addition to a short physical inventory of devices, mostly highlights the actual status of each port and the eventual errors. The document is using Microsoft Excel® format and contains the following elements:

[tab_container initial_open=”1″]

[tab title=”‘System Info tab”]

bandeau-SysInfoReport-1

  • Name & IP
  • MAC Address
  • Full reference of the device (might be useful to reorder it: RS30-0802O6O6SDAPHH)
  • Serial number: for warranties management & Return to factory for repair (ref. 943xxxxxxx)
  • Current & backup firmware  (backup firmware is available only for professional firmware and higher)
  • Working time: highlight blackouts or reboot
  • Date and time: highlight that SNTP time setting is performed correctly
  • Temperature: value reported at the time of the data collection – highlight hot spots and shortcomings airflow
  • Fan status: for MACH4000 devices
  • Power supplies: power supply status and source type (for MACH4000) – it is important, if you mix dual 24V input and single 24V input, to put a bypass to simulate a second power supply so that you can distinguish between a faulty source and missing bypass.
  • DIP switchs position (Powermice, MS & RS family) – to avoid conflict during configuration reload

[tab title=”‘Ports status’ tab“]

bandeau-SysInfoReport-2

  • Ports’ information
    • Name & IP
    • Module/ port # and interface # (useful for manual SNMP request)
    • Physical type of the port (copper, optical LC, SC…)
    • Specific info of the port (ring or coupling port)
    • Admin status: active or shutdown
    • Operational status: end device connected and running (port is free or device is not started)
    • Speed and duplex: highlights Half duplex on 100Mb/s or gigabit port (possibility of duplex mismatch)
    • Autonegotiation status: Fix or Auto
    • Cable crossing status (if supported and used)
  • Ports’ statistic counters:
    • Transmitted and received bytes / packets,
    • Received Unicast versus non unicast
  • Ports’ error counters: (highlights, using color, duplex mismatch, too long copper cable, EMC, faulty optical transmitter…)
    • CRC and alignment errors
    • Undersize
    • Oversize
    • Fragment
    • Jabber
    • Total and Late Collision

[toggle title=”Report based on industrial Hivision Documentation”]

This report is a complete physical inventory of all equipment in your network with all serial numbers (not just the chassis ones but also for modules, ACA, SFP…). It  is generated using the “Documentation of equipment” function in the industrial Hivision software. Some of these elements are also present in the other reports but this is the most complete one.

To generate these reports, it is not necessary for us to be locally present on your site, simply order this analysis and then provide us the results of the Hirschmann CollectTool. We will send back as soon as possible the resulting Excel reports to you.

* This tool is internally developed and enhanced based on configurations on which we operate. It is now running in the 3rd major release and it should integrate in a short time a better compatibility with the new MSP and RSP products line.
